![]() However, aside from these gripes, the game as a whole was still a blast to play through and I highly recommend checking it out for those that enjoyed the first :) Plus, something's up with the sound design because it's pretty hard to hear Cortana's voice during gameplay. Also, what's up with all of the dead body and broken vehicle physics? They randomly fly all over the place for no reason, especially ghosts, which made me waste bullets on them because I wasn't sure if I shot them enough. I had quite a few random deaths, like getting crushed in between walls for no reason or exiting a scorpion and going flying to my death. This is mainly because this game lacks a lot of the polish that that one had. With all of that being said, I don't think this game is as good as Combat Evolved. Plus, the game is absolutely gorgeous for when it came out, and still holds up to this day for me, and the music is fantastic as always. I really enjoyed the level design as well, though this game is much harder than the previous one, even on normal. Plus, you can dual wield now and it's a jolly good time. However, the gameplay is still very fun and there are new weapons to use and new enemies to fight. My only complaint was the game ended on a cliffhanger, as I'm never a fan of those I felt like things could have been wrapped up a bit better before the post credits scene, which is where I prefer the obvious sequel baiting stuff to happen. I really enjoyed the story and the characters, especially now that the villains were more fleshed out and you get to see their side of the story as well. Fantastic game and a worthy follow up to Combat Evolved. The story is full of surprises, and the multiplayer feels fantastic.7h 40m PlayedI only played the campaign because I don't give a shit about multiplayer so this review is for the campaign only.
